Our plant sale on the weekend brought many unplanned and unexpected blessings, including:
- Esquimalt residents and church neighbours generously offering some of their plants to sell;
- a wonderful sense of community as we hung out on the sidewalk interacting with people we don't generally encounter
- everyone's contribution being graciously accepted whether it was a small pot of scraggly mint, or hard-to-find native wild flowers, or a stunning indoor tropical plant;
- the very brief rainshower bringing with it a magnificent rainbow.
Many thanks to everyone who made it all happen, and helped us to raise around $600. I suspect Marjory, the coordinator, will feel compelled to continue making the plant sale an annual event.
