Justice Team

Our Justice Team has been active since 2013 advocating for environmental justice, First Nations rights, electoral democracy & reform, and radical hospitality for refugees and disadvantaged families in our community. We implement the justice policies of our national church in a non-partisan manner.

We do more than just act. We also support one another personally and spiritually, because it’s easy to feel discouraged some days. We’ve an inclusive community – all are welcome regardless of faith background. We meet monthly on Sundays at 12 noon at the church.

Do check us out if you’d like to:

  • Receive personal/spiritual support in your justice/outreach work
  • Stand in solidarity with First Nations
  • Protect our Island from tanker spills and fossil fuel projects
  • Promote electoral democracy and reform
  • Reach out to new refugees
  • Offer a friendly ear and hot lunch to disadvantaged adults & families
  • Learn about other justice issues in our community (LGBTQ rights, the Israel-Palestine conflict, the Site C dam, etc.)
